  1. We stayed at Bridge House in early November. The location is excellent, right in the centre of the small town. It is easy to find, walking distance from the train station and offers on sight parking. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by Mandy and John. The accommodation is like a self contained apartment rather than just a room which was lovely and helped with storage of our muddy walking boots. The bedroom and bathroom were immaculate, beautifully designed and well kitted out with everything you could require. The bed was extremely comfortable with more than enough pillows. The real highlight was the library/breakfast room with a view of the castle. Breakfast was served there in the morning and wow what a breakfast! Beautiful stewed fruits, sourdough bread, cereals, yoghurt, fresh tea and coffee and then a full English. We were completely spoiled. Mandy and John were very friendly, well informed about the local area and interesting company. We were provided with a map of the area and advised on local walks (of which there are many), pubs, restaurants and historical sites. Arundel is a thoroughly lovely place to visit in rain or shine. If you want a weekend in the countryside, a spot of antique shopping, a walking weekend or a weekend of history Arundel has it all. Staying at Bridge House enables you to do all you want with a warm bed at the end of the day and a hearty breakfast to set you on your way. I cannot recommend Bridge House enough and I hope to stay again soon.

  2. What a beautiful place to stay! Very cosy, lovely and warm, tasteful d├ęcor.
We had a weekend in Arundel as a last little get away before our first child was born, my wife was 38 weeks. We walked alot, went out for lunch and dinner and read in the living room. Bridge house is about 30 seconds walk from the absolute middle of Arundel. Amanda and Jonathan are wonderful hosts, very welcoming and inviting. You feel completely comfortable about being in their house, they have arranged the BnB in such a way that guests are not encroaching on the owners space, which makes one feel relaxed.
Breakfast was amazing, we ate well and will defiantly come back once we are settled with our little one. Thanks for a very chilled get away!

  3. I loved staying here! The accommodation itself was wonderful – clean, warm, cosy with that fantastic bathtub! The bed was very comfortable and the area is very peaceful, so expect a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was a real feast, full of local produce and taken in the library with an amazing view of Arundel castle. Mandy & Jon themselves were fantastic hosts and know the area really well, and the Bridge House is perfectly situated to enjoy both the village and surrounding countryside. If you’re looking for a lovely relaxing retreat, I cannot recommend the Bridge House enough!

  4. We stayed at Bridge House for the Christmas festivities in Arundel on the 6th December. We, along with our two little boys were made very welcome by Mandy and Jonathan. They even extended their hospitality to my sister and brother-in-law who were staying in the nearby sail loft. On arrival they served tea and cake for the whole party in the library, it was very much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate in recommending this fine Bed & Breakfast. Our 2 boys stayed in the twin room which was one side of the library, whilst we stayed in the double which is situated the other side. Our room had a very tasteful en-suite with an attractive slipper bath and quality toiletries. Bridge House is in an ideal location for visiting all the lovely antique shops in Arundel. It is also situated next to the town lido, so would be ideal for the summer months. We very much look forward to returning for another relaxing stay.

  5. We stayed at Bridge House for a single night over the valentines weekend. The house is fantastic, in a perfect location with everything you need very close by. Both the room and private living room that you get are lovely, nicely decorated, spotlessly clean and above all warm and inviting.
Mandy and Jonathan are extremely welcoming and accommodating, going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Breakfast was also brilliant, and served in the living room. A great start to the day!
I would recommend Bridge House to anyone that asked, and will tell all our friends as well.
    Expect to see us again!

  6. We enjoyed a lovely stay at Bridge House. The accommodation is warm and cosy and absolutely immaculate. Mandy and Jonathan are very welcoming and provided lots of useful information about the area. Breakfast was thoroughly enjoyable, particularly with the views of the castle out of the window. The room is seperate from the rest of the house and it was nice to have our own lounge/library area. We would definitely recommend Bridge House!

  7. I stayed with 2 friends at the Bridge House bed and breakfast in April 2015 and we absolutely loved it. The location was spot on, right in the centre (2 of us are pregnant so we were happy we only had to waddle 5 mins to all the shops, cafes restaurants etc). The house is beautiful; the website photos don’t do it justice. The recommendations kindly provided by Mandy and Jonathan all proved worth while having and we enjoyed pottering around the pretty town, idling our way between coffee shops and shops and peeking in St Nicholas’ Church, which although C of E has a Catholic chapel partitioned across by glass. Finally, breakfast was delicious. We had croissants, fresh fruit salad, granola, greek yoghurt, juice and I managed to also polish off ‘the full Sussex’ cooked breakfast. Don’t be put off it’s not on Tripadvisor, that’s only because of the small number of rooms. We highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

  8. What a wonderful find. Stayed here for only one night (sadly) for the Goodwood revival. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely owner hosts Mandy and Jonathan, even offering their garage to store our classic car in case it rained. Excellent location by the bridge in the centre of Arundel and beautiful, tasteful decor. Also delicious. plentiful breakfast. Cannot recommend highly enough.

  13. Visiting the area for a photo-workshop in July 2016, Bridge House was recommended to me by a local. Brilliant location right in the town centre within walking distance of the restaurants, antique shops (all very well preserved, renovated and decorated), castle and cathedral.
Off-road parking at the rear of the house down a narrow lane (probably not suitable for large SUV’s), is included.
Accommodation is a self-contained ‘apartment’ on the ground floor, with large lounge/library, double-bedroom, and en-suite bathroom (heated towel rail) , all impeccably clean, well decorated , and comfortable…..crisp cotton sheets on the bed! Fresh , filling, full English cooked breakfast from local produce, is served in the lounge, with copious coffee/tea, and all manner of accompaniments including yoghurt and fruit ; they even managed to cater to my rather finicky diet. Despite being on the main street in town , the bedroom is remarkably quiet , and you are assured of a good night’s sleep.
Owners Mandy and Jonathan are welcoming, knowledgeable, delightful people, and you couldn’t wish for better hosts. Being a B&B with one room (actually there is another overspill bedroom available on the ground floor for bigger families) it does not ‘qualify’ for a TripAdvisor listing, but do not be put off….take it from me (after 40 years of travelling), this is a cut above the normal B&B , and you would be hard pressed to find better value and quality, with all the attendant advantages that Bridge House offers.
